Do you love the look of accent lighting in your home? If you’ve searched for an accent lamp that is both reasonably priced and attractive in a modern way, then you know that this is a hard item to find, and when you do, it often has an outrageous price tag.
Donna from funkyjunkinteriors has created a modern rustic accent lamp that would be at home just about anywhere and can be created for pennies. The list of supplies is a short one – a sawhorse bracket, scrap wood, some piping, a lamp kit, and a lampshade you love. Donna’s instructions include a thorough tutorial on how to wire a lamp including detailed photos. After the wood is secured inside the brackets, tiny chains were added, giving the sawhorse legs extra stability.
The newly wired piping is placed in the center and creates the third leg of the lamp tripod. Donna chose a shade that can be used as a faux chalkboard.
