Setting out to make your own woodworking project can be daunting. If you are inclined to make something for your home that by your own hands, then follow the example set by Lisa at Live Your Goals. She explains how she grew up around her grandfather who had a woodworking shop.
This always inspired her, and when she decided to make her own rustic headboard, she knew that this would be the start of something special. Although the idea came from a pallet headboard design, she decided on rough milled pine boards instead. After roughing up the boards and staining them, Lisa arranged the boards in the order she liked best. Adding lamps to the headboard was accomplished by wiring them together.
She does say that if you are not comfortable with electrical wiring that hiring an electrician is a good idea. This well constructed and beautiful headboard will look great with your rustic decor. Follow Lisa’s example and try to make one for yourself. If you are nervous, have a friend with knowledge help. You will be thrilled to have a beautifully crafted rustic headboard in your home.
