Karen at The Salvaged Boutique was inspired by kitchen carts on casters to create one of her own. One of her inspiration came from the one and only Crate & Barrel.
She knew she wanted to use a vintage piece of furniture and snatched up a bargain-priced desk she found at a yard sale.
With the addition of a couple of shelves and hardware and a fresh coat of paint, Karen transformed the desk to a functional and versatile kitchen cart.
It has lots of great uses from a bar cart to a kitchen island to a dining room buffet!
Karen was inspired by bar carts like the Belmont Black Kitchen Island from Crate & Barrel.

The desk on wheels looks like a desk on wheels! The workmanship is beautiful and I’m sure lots of time went into it. I bet it’s pretty heavy to push also…just saying. Ps. I love getting emails and project ideas everyday. Thanks!
