J from A Girl and A Key was elated to find a set of four square back Louis XVI chairs on Craigslist for $125. J knew a coat of white paint and new upholstery were definitely in the works. Since this was J’s first go round with upholstering, she chose drop cloth fabric so it wouldn’t be a huge loss if things went awry. Of course things went fabulously for J (Yippee!) and she went on to add blue stripes to the back of the chairs to coordinate with her dinnerware and add a pop of color.
J was inspired by the Louis XVI Square Back Arm Chair from Ballard Designs.
