Kate Spade Desk on an IKEA Budget

Mark Montano has been loving himself some Kate Spade lately. You may remember how he transformed a thrift store lamp into a Kate Spade look-a-like.

Well, Mark is at it again! This time Mark made over a basic IKEA desk with high gloss paint and new hardware to create this stylish polka dot beauty that’s a dead ringer for Kate’s $3,000 desk.

And he did it all for under $200!

You can use any kind of similar table setup to make this. It truly falls into the category “trash and treasure”. What’s a more awesome transformation that using polka-dots?

Mark was inspired by Kate Spade’s Downing Desk.

It’s been said that this table goes on sale from time to time… that said, with a regular price of $3,000 I think all of us can agree even a sale price will be jaw-dropping.
