If you have a great frame but would love to change out the picture to fit the season this chalkboard project from Tasha at Designer Trapped may solve your problem.
The idea is to create several foam core boards that fit the frame and then change out the designs thru the year. The foam core is quite inexpensive and easy to switch out. Tasha uses her Cricut machine to cut the vinyl. If you do not have a Cricut, you can still use an X-Acto knife to cut the vinyl letters.
Once the letters are cut, you apply the transfer film and then place the design down on the foam core. She explains that brushing the entire surface of the foam core will add a chalkboard feel to the project. This model can be changed out monthly and would store easily in a closet throughout the year. This great design would work in a modern farmhouse, shabby chic or vintage decor.
