Burlap Magnolia Blooms for Fall

With the arrival of each new season, Gail from Purple Hues and Me says she loves to visit Pier 1 for inspiration.

On a recent trip she saw some pretty handcrafted branches of burlap magnolia stems and was inspired to recreate these lovelies.

Gail hit up her fabric stash for leftover burlap and formed it into realistic looking blooms with the help of Mod Podge and floral wire.

I love the natural look and texture of burlap for fall!

Gail was inspired by the Burlap Magnolia Branch Stems from Pier 1 Imports.

The complete tutorial is available at Purple Hues and Me.

  1. Oh these are fantastic! And like Judy H, love em way more than the much more’clunky’ and less ethereal Pier 1 variety. Can’t wait to check out Purple Hues and Me! Thanks, loads, for the inspiration!

First of all, thank you so much for introducing to me to the Purple Hues and Me blog! It is beautiful!!!
I love her flowers so MUCH more than Pier 1’s !! Her’s have a more realistic and softer look about them. The tutorial is very clear and has a lot of detail. These are definitely on my “to do ASAP” list!
