Do you change your decorations out with each season? Many of us do, and storing items in the off season can be difficult. With the addition of floating shelves, your storage dilemma may be solved. Pete, from Projects with Pete, shares with us a simple way to make floating shelves.
With 2×4’s and a couple of cedar pickets, Pete is able to make a box shelf that will slide right onto 2×4’s. He says that the wood for the project came in under $10. His step by step pictures and written instructions will help a beginner if this is their first project. The ease in removing the shelf will encourage you to store the items inside and change them out with the season.
Just make sure you screw the 2×4 frame into studs when attaching it to the wall. This project would work well in many decor styles. Make these easy shelves for storing seasonal items. Great Job Pete !
