Repurpose An Old Door Into A Photo Coat Rack

An entryway is usually a forgotten area of a house to be decorated and is usually pretty bland. Mary Jane from photogmommie has created a beautiful way to make this space lovely as well as functional by building a coat rack from an old door.

She cleverly used the panes of glass in the door to display family photos, and she walks us through the process step-by-step. The first thing to do is to measure the size of the panes of glass in the door.  Once she collected the photos she wanted to use, Mary Jane printed them out and trimmed them down to fit in each pane of glass. She drew an arrow pointing up on the back of each photo and then mounted the photo onto the back of the glass using blue painter’s tape since that can be easily re-positioned if necessary.

Once all the photos were mounted, she added hooks and hung the door to the entryway wall.
