Celeste from My Greenbrae Cottage fell in love with a salvaged wood island for her kitchen that was waaay too big for her space and waaay too expensive for her budget.
After dreaming about how to make it work, she finally stumbled upon the perfect solution – make her own of course! She tracked down some 100+ year old oak from an old barn, sanded till she could sand no more, and then passed it on to her loving and talented uncle for construction.
The finishing touch was to top it off with a piece of gorgeous marble.
Celeste was inspired by the Salvaged Wood Kitchen Island from Restoration Hardware.
