Practical Over the Sink Shelf

8:00 AM By Kimberly Chaffee Leave a Comment

Would you like to have plants or other decorative items above your sink? Do you need some extra room because you have limited counter space? Amy from Stow and Tell U used pallet wood to make her over the sink shelf. Her pictures show how she cut the wood and screwed everything together.

Although Amy used a pallet, 2 x4’s would also work for making this shelf. The details in her instructions are extremely helpful. A beginner woodworker will certainly be able to get this shelf together with some basic tools. Amy has copper bins on her shelf, but you may want to put an arrangement of herb garden pots.

They will be close to your cooking area and you won’t forget to water them. Your shelf will help keep clutter off your counters and add a nice decorative touch to your decor.
