Kayla from Home Coming strongly believes that everyone should be able to have beautiful art in their home – without breaking the bank! To this end, Kayla painted her own colorful and vibrant abstract art on a canvas that was collecting dust in her storage room. You don’t have to be an artist to paint your own wall-worthy artwork. Kayla says, “Abstract art is a really simple (and impactful!) art project for anyone because there really is no wrong way to paint it.”
Kayla was inspired by this large multi-color abstract painting by Kristy Gammill that she saw at One King’s Lane.

Ha! Thanks so much for the kind words Brynne. But I bet it's not as bad as you think. Beckie's probably right, we're all much more critical of our own work.

I love Kayla's gorgeous piece of art! But can I just say that yes, there is a "wrong way" to paint abstract art, because I totally fail at it! :P There's a total disconnect between my brain and the canvas! So I am extra appreciative of others who can pull this off! :)

Ha! Well, maybe not everyone's an artist then. :) I think we are all more critical of our own work though.
