The self proclaimed Anika from Anika’s DIY Life has put together a step by step layout on how to construct this buffet masterpiece without using reclaimed wood. Anika broke down the steps with great pictures and even helpful tips, such as, staining all the pieces first before assembly.
Emerson Buffet Jen Woodhouse
Anika loves the design plans made by fellow Do It Yourself Guru Jen Woodhouse. Inspired by designs from West Elm this project has cost savings built right in. Her design incorporated an inside skeleton to provide the support needed for the outside planks. Using several types of stain and some basic woodworking tools, Anika constructed the buffet making sure everything was square.
She even overcame her fear of drawers, a part of the construction she admittedly feared. She tackled it head on and found the drawers were not as difficult as what she imagined. She was particularly happy with the ease of inserting the drawer slides.
This beautiful side buffet is sure to add charm to any setting whether modern or country. Anika, this is an inspirational project for anyone that loves the look of reclaimed furniture.
