DIY Printers Cabinet

Sometimes we can be lucky enough to find a beautifully crafted piece of furniture at a yard sale or thrift store. Once that piece is home, we can look at it and decide whether to change it or to leave it as is. Lauren from blesserhouse found a well-constructed buffet table on Craig’s List and decided to improve it by making it over into a printer’s cabinet.

Lauren provides a complete supply list for her project as well as detailed photos to enhance the tutorial. She began by creating a new top for the cabinet to replace the waterfall effect of the old top. The entire piece, as well as the wood slats for the next step, were then stained with a dark walnut stain. The next step of the project is genius!

Lauren created faux drawers and hardware across the entire front of the cabinet to create the effect of an antique printer’s table.
