DIY Globe Pendant Lamp

8:00 AM By Kimberly Chaffee Leave a Comment

For a unique look for any room, this globe pendant lamp created by Liz from thebravelife is something that will truly personalize your space and literally create a warm glow.

Globes can sometimes be found at thrift stores or yard sales, and flea markets often have several to choose from. Liz walks us through the simple steps to create our own globe hanging light. She provides a short but complete list of supplies needed to construct this project. Your first step is to choose a latitude line on the bottom of the globe to cut through to make the opening for the light. The size of the light will be determined by which line you select. Next, you’ll cut through the North Pole to create a hole from which the bulb and socket will hang.

If you choose, you can also drill small holes around each continent to all small specks of light to shine through.
