Shawna from Dakota Creek Chic came into the blogging world with a bang, sharing the gorgeous farmhouse table she built following plans from Ana White. Here’s what she has to say about her very first furniture build: “I am so excited with my finished farmhouse table. It is rustic, it weighs about a thousand pounds, and it cost me about $150. Pretty cool compared to the RH version that costs about THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS!! This project was easy and definitely something someone with beginner skills can make. In fact this was my first big project using power tools. The other thing that is great is that you don’t need a lot of fancy power tools. You could essentially build this entire table with a circular saw, a drill, and a lot of elbow grease. Now that I have been living with my table and using it, I love it even more. I hope you love it, and I hope this inspires you to give it a go! You won’t regret it!!”
The original inspiration came from Restoration Hardware’s Salvaged Wood Farmhouse Table.
