A few years ago Erika at Retropolitan saw this Anthropologie lamp and fell in love with the look but not the price tag.
Using a lamp kit, some glue, assorted dish-ware and patience Erika was able to recreate the lamp on her own. Thrift stores are a great place to get your hands on various dish-ware pieces that are unique and also cater to a one-of-a-kind design. Make sure that you pick out sturdy enough pieces for your base and save the more delicate ones for the top of your lamppost. After all is said and done, think of the savings! Erika completed hers for only a quarter of the cost she would have spent buying the original from Anthropologie.
