Twig Deer Head

You’ve undoubtedly seen all types of creations made from driftwood. Wreaths, mirrors, Christmas trees… and the list goes on. It was driftwood deer mount that caught the eye of Amy from Atta Girl Says, and she found a way to recreate it with twigs for free. This is a great option since twigs are a lot easier to come by than driftwood for most people.

Poinsettia Tree Skirt

Gail from Purple Hues and Me was truly inspired by a lovely white poinsettia stocking made by Yvonne of StoneGable. When she later stumbled upon an expensive poinsettia tree skirt in Neiman Marcus’ Christmas collection, she knew Yvonne’s tutorial was the ticket to creating her own. I can only imagine it was crazy tedious to cut out all those petals, but the outcome sure is beautiful!

Sunburst Mirror

Cheryl from That’s What {Che} Said was shopping at Hobby Lobby when she came across a sunburst mirror that she loved. It was way overpriced, so Cheryl continued on down the aisle to stumble upon a candle holder for $4 that boasted the same “sunbursts” as the mirror. The repurposing project came to life even better than Cheryl expected and was way cheaper at only $10.

Recycled Magazine Storage Box

Using items from your recycling bin, you can turn a plain old cardboard box into a decorative storage bin like Gay from It’s A Hodgepodge Life did. Gay rolled a bunch of magazine pages and attached them to her box and then created a no-sew burlap liner to make the inside as beautiful as the outside. This is just one of many fun creations you can make from rolled magazine pages!
