Salt Dough Robin’s Eggs

While switching out her Valentine’s décor for spring, Emily from life{illustrated} decided she needed some eggs to complete her vignette. Right away. Out came the flour, salt, water, and food coloring, and Emily whipped up a batch a pretty blue robin’s eggs lickety split! Emily’s eggs look so much more natural to me than their rather plasticy counterpart.

Wood Coat Knobs

Anu from Nalle’s House was all settled on modern coat knobs she wanted to purchase for her mini mudroom… and then discovered they simply wouldn’t fit. Anu found a very cost-friendly alternative in some unfinished wood knobs that she finished with a bright blue stain and mounted with double-ended screws. The knob are functional and add a great pop of color to the small space (which is absolutely darling)!

Mary Anne from Purposedly Reinvented has a love affair with trays and simply cannot get enough. Here’s what she has to say about her favorite decorative accessory: “From the entry way to bedside, they are stylish must-haves that can help you display, contain and organize.  Whether you are decorating or entertaining, everything looks better on a tray.” I love how Mary Anne embellished this thrift store tray with thumb tacks!

Alphabet Lazy Susan

Sherry from Pondered Primed Perfected scored a free lazy Susan at a garage sale when the owner happily threw it in with Sherry’s other findings. There was no way Sherry would turn down an opportunity to find a way to turn it into something fabulous, and, of course, she doesn’t disappoint! The once old, tired lazy Susan now has a smart new look with a bold alphabet design around the rim.
