Better Than the Original Wavy Bookshelf Dupe

Tina Le Mac shared an incredible DIY project for building a solid wood bookcase at a fraction of the retail cost.

She starts by using glued-edge panels and carbon boards to cut costs.

Tina uses a jigsaw to create wavy shapes, making four identical pieces.

You’ll love how she fits everything together like a puzzle with cross-halving joints.

There was some trial and error, but everything fits together nicely in the end!

After sanding it smooth, she applies a coat of stain.

Tina secures the piece with braces and anchors it to the wall.

The result is a sturdy and stylish bookcase that mirrors the original (with many commentators saying it’s better than Urban Outfitter’s version!

Tina managed to build hers for just $150.

That’s a huge savings compared to the $600 price tag on the original.

In other words, you could have this stunning piece in your home without breaking the bank!

Tina was inspired by the Huron Bookcase from Urban Outfitters. Not only was it too expensive, it was sold out!
