The crafty ladies over at LollyJane were inspired to liven up a set of plain white bowls using DecoArt’s line of glass paint. The markers made it a cinch to freehand the designs onto the girls’ thrifted Corelle bowls, and the pretty color selection just added to the fun! Kristi says, “Of course it’s not perfect but it sure is more fun displayed in my turquoise hutch than 3 boring white bowls, right?”

When Charisa from Madtown Macs saw West Elm’s digitally monogrammed hand towels, she immediately loved them and swooped some up as gifts. Sadly, Charisa never got one for herself and knew it was time to change that. She easily created her own modern and bold monogrammed hand towel with a freezer paper stencil and fabric paint. I am all about painting some fabric!
Esther from Wholly Kao wanted to come up with an original idea for a handmade gift swap with some friends. Instead of defaulting to jewelry, Esther was inspired to create a dish for holding rings and other small baubles. I love the designs that Esther achieved by pressing lace into the clay prior to baking. So pretty!
After making a bunch of pom-poms for a photo shoot, Meredith from One Sheepish Girl certainly couldn’t let the colorful beauties go to waste sitting in plastic bags. She came up with a simple DIY to put them to use by hot gluing magnets and pushpins to the backs of the smaller poms. Meredith says she loves the color and texture they add to her inspiration board.
