When it came time for Nina from Everyday Enchanting to redo her powder room, Pottery Barn totally made her swoon with its Newport Sink Console. However, that pretty little console cost double the budget for the WHOLE renovation! Thankfully, Nina had the experience and confidence to tackle a DIY after building her own kitchen island. She says, “I combined and modified the plans from both Ana White and DIY Diva, and off we went! The beauty of building it ourselves was that I could choose a different stain than the original- so I gave it a weathered finish that we love!”
Bridgett from Osie Moats is not a fan of plastic laundry baskets since they usually end up broken after being used as stools by her boys. Ever since adding shelving to her bathroom, Bridgett knew she wanted a cottage-inspired laundry basket to fill the space below. However, she wasn’t about the drop a wad of cash on something that would be housing dirty, stinky clothes from three boys. Instead Bridgett gathered several items she already had to create a rustic laundry basket that fits her space to perfection – in both size and design!
Jaime from That’s My Letter is no stranger here on KOD. Well, it just so happens this insanely talented lady is my partner for Creating with the Stars! Oh, and did I mention we won the first round, which just so happens to be a knock-off round? Whoop whoop! It’s not too surprising when you see this UH-mazing sliding door console that Jaime built for $300 versus purchasing for around $3,000 with tax and shipping. Those are some serious savings, and, as always, Jaime’s workmanship rivals anything you can purchase in a store or catalog!
Thanks to Jaime from That’s My Letter and Ana White, you can build your own entry console with tons of hidden storage. I couldn’t agree with Jaime more when she says, “This console has it all: drawers, open shelving, baskets and bins… Personally I want concealed storage that’s easily accessible for my 3 kids but still neat looking and segregated so each child has their own designated basket and bin.” Jaime spent less than 1/4 of retail price (not including shipping charges!) and was able to modify the dimensions to not waste an inch of space and finish in her choice of color. Booya!
