With the transition from winter to spring comes the task of packing away sweaters and pulling out tees and tanks. Before you write off those old sweaters, check out how Beth at Unskinny Boppy made over a plan white lampshade with a thrift store sweater. I love the idea of adding pattern and texture to a lampshade with a few simple cuts and some glue. It’s amazing the changes you can make it a mere 20 minutes!
Beth’s lampshade reminds me of the Latticework Lampshade from Anthropologie.

Oh this is a phenomenally cool knock off! Everyone has a funky sweater lurking about. And can I just say I ADORE how you have them broken down into boutique they’re ripping off? rofl Very very snazzy. And you’ve got most of my faves covered. So every time I’m bummed I can’t afford somepin I fall in love with in a catalogue, I can bop over to you, pick my boutique, and work out my frustrations with glueguns and fabric and paints, oh my! lol Thanks again for all of your lovely features. Gonna stick you in my ‘Bloggy Bloggy’ board at pinterest, blogs you can’t NOT subscribe to. 😉

Have never seen a lampshade like this–absolutely beautiful. A great thing to do with all the wonderful old sweaters we have!
Most definitely. I am all about repurposing! Thanks for commenting!
Thanks for the feature, Beckie! There was another lamp that Pottery Barn (no longer available) that was covered in pom poms. If that lamp and the Anthro lamp got together and had a baby, it would be my shade! 🙂 Hope you had a blast at Snap! Hearing so much great stuff about your presentation!
No doubt PB and Anthro would make beautiful babies like your lamp! 😉 Thanks for the sweet comments. Snap was great!
