Beth from NashvillePug was in need of a new crafting table with lots of storage and plenty of space for sewing. To meet her needs, Beth used two Closetmaid Cubeicals to form the sides of her new table and 2 by 6 beams for the top. This is such a simple project thanks to Beth’s genius brainstorm to use the Cubeicals!

I’m so glad I found this! This past summer I was at the Potter Barn Outlet in my area. They had the Bedford table top (no legs or anything to hold it up) for only $9! I just had to buy it. I figured I could do something like Beth did, but didn’t know how it would look. Can’t wait to get the table top out of my garage and get to work! 😉
Thanks for sharing. I did something similar when looking for a crafting table, which also needed to function as a desk. I liked the style of the Pottery Barn project table, but wanted something at a lower height. I ended up using two IKEA Expedit shelving units in the 2×2 size, and topped it off with one of their frosted glass desk tops (which was thin enough to keep it from getting too tall). I kept the functionality of the Pottery Barn table, but with a height that worked better for my needs.
Love that work table. I’m going to be using IKEA’s Expedit cube system for my studio, but it’s very similar to this one. Thanks for sharing.
