This is one of my favorite table makeovers featured here on KOD. Not only is the weathered finish simply beautiful, but Pam from Simple Details had never even refinished or stained a table before. Mind blowing, huh?
Here’s a brilliant way to use what you’ve got but also make something new. Reuse the legs and apron from your existing table and build only a new top. I know… genius!
Think outside the can of paint and give your tabletop a completely custom look by stenciling it to resemble Indian inlay. Talk about a statement-making table!

For this table makeover, the existing legs were repurposed and then a “zinc” tabletop was made using MDF and sheet metal. Swoon!
The polished zinc appearance is reminiscent of the look you might find with quality glass dining tables.
Lighten up a dark table with a light weathered gray paint technique that amazingly cost only $20 to pull off. That’s quite a bit easier on the budget than buying a new table!
