With the arrival of each new season, Gail from Purple Hues and Me says she loves to visit Pier 1 for inspiration. On a recent trip she saw some pretty handcrafted branches of burlap magnolia stems and was inspired to recreate these lovelies. Gail hit up her fabric stash for leftover burlap and formed it into realistic looking blooms with the help of Mod Podge and floral wire. I love the natural look and texture of burlap for fall!

She says it had “a unique combination of fun, whimsy, and worldly charm” – everything she loves about Anthropologie! Jennifer just so happened to have a plain white pillow cover from IKEA that she’d picked up for just such an occasion. She got her tassel-making on and then adorned the pillow with all her colorful creations.
