Michelle from The 236 had been eyeing some lovely glass cloches with wood bases for quite some time. Imagine her joy when she stumbled upon a similar piece at her local Goodwill for only $2.99. Score! The only small change Michelle made was to paint the honey-colored base black to give it more of a presence on her entryway table. Here’s Michelle’s cloche all decked out for fall.
Michelle was inspired by the 1920s French Glass Cloches from Restoration Hardware.

Call me crazy, but isn't that a covered soft cheese plate, not a cloche?

Cloche, bell jar, glass display dome, cheese plate...anything with a similar shape falls into the category in my book. Cloche is French for "bell" after all.
