When updating her living room last summer, Carrie from Curb to Refurb knew a new coffee table was in order.
She says her first inclination is usually to run to the Salvation Army, but this time Carrie had a specific design in mind.
Carrie’s husband volunteered to help build a replica of the $399 table she’d been eyeing from Ballard Designs.
Although the inspiration table has a metal frame, the couple was able to get the same look with wood and a painted faux metal finish.
They loved the design so much that they also built a matching end table!
Carrie was inspired by the Durham Coffee Table from Ballard Designs.

Hi, I’m curious when you blogged about using peppercorn on exterior houses, what you would suggest for a trim color other than white. I want a more modern cabin look with the red cedar accents, but I’m stymied when it comes to house roof trim vs trim around windows that are bronze. Thanks in advance
