Titti from Shoestring Pavilion received a free dresser from her neighbors and was on the fence about how to update the chipped and worn finish.
Inspired by the Anthropologie Bone Inlay dresser, Titti sanded down the stain on the dresser and purchased a set of stencils.
Using cream colored craft paint, a DIY stain and a lot of elbow grease, Titti was able to recreate the $2500 designer dresser for about $150.
She applied polyurethane to protect the finish and even added a few decorative knobs to finish it off.
This is Titti’s finished dresser.
This is the Anthropologie dresser.
