Isn’t it funny how a simple monogram takes something ordinary and makes it extra special? Takes these tea towels from Jeran at Oleander + Palm for example. They were just plain old striped towels. Pretty, yes, but still just plain old towels. However, after Jeran added a monogram using the freezer paper stencil technique, they are oh-so adorable and gift-worthy. I guess that’s why stores can charge more for the monogramming than the actual towel {Wink}!
Tigan of Blake & Tigan purchased a dreamy, cloud-like pintucked duvet cover from West Elm that she totally loved. That is until she felt how scratchy it was and realized how easily it ripped. Boo! Tigan sent that duvet cover packing and decided she would just have to DIY to get the job done right. Tigan used a plain pre-made duvet cover and sewed her own pintucks – all 123 of them! She then added a button to each pintuck to ensure they would hold strong. Despite the time-consuming process, Tigan says she couldn’t be more pleased with how her pleated duvet cover came out!

It looks identical to her West Elm inspiration! I love that this pillow goes with absolutely anything yet isn’t plain or boring. The folded felt creates tons of texture and interest.
Jessica from Sew Homegrown created a DIY version of a ruffled circles pillow she spied at West Elm. She says she just had to spice it up with more color though and chose scraps from her favorite fabric designer Anna Maria Horner. There is so much I love about this pillow from the vibrant colors to the ruffled and slightly disheveled look of the circles.
