Draven of Draven Made found a budget-friendly alternative dishing out $1,000 for a wood and metal bookshelf from Restoration Hardware. The answer came in an inexpensive metal shelf frame from IKEA. Draven simply traded out the existing glass shelves for wood ones she had cut at Home Depot. Unless you are into welding, this is a great starting place for creating a custom metal shelf.
