Morena of Morena’s Corner and contributor on Crafts Unleashed made this custom wall clock as a Christmas gift for her mom. What makes the clock extra special is that it features an antique map of Morena’s Italian birthplace. Morena has plans in the works to make one for each of her four children who were born in different countries!

Morena from Morena’s Corner unveils her secret for making plastic look like high end pewter. It only took Morena some paint to glam out this once flowery dollar store tray. With metallics looking hot for 2013, this is a must-try technique!
At the beginning of each new year, Bethany from Pitter and Glink is always filled with hope for good things to come. When she saw a holiday plate from Bloomingdale’s that featured the word “hope,” she just had to knock if off. Bethany used a dollar store plate and some paint pens to recreate the festive plate in less than ten minutes!
Barn lights can be uber expensive, but Mary from At Home on the Bay found a way to turn an inexpensive IKEA pendant into a barn light look-a-like for her kitchen. It really was as simple as spray painting the pendant and popping in an Edison bulb for a more authentic look. I am currently redecorating my living room with aqua and yellow and totally dig the entire look Mary has going here!
