Kathy of Petticoat Junction found this dresser for only $65 at her favorite junk shop. Of course, it didn’t boast that beautiful distressed black finish when Kathy found it! Kathy was inspired by Pottery Barn to try a graduated distressing technique that starts with heavy distressing on the bottom of the dresser and gradually lightens up. I honestly love Kathy’s painted dresser more than her Pottery Barn inspiration – and you know it was quite a bit cheaper!
