Fresh-from-the-Front-Yard Boxwood Wreath

Inspired by a boxwood wreath at Home Depot, Mari from crab+fish used clippings from the boxwoods in her landscaping to make a DIY version. She says, “It was the Holy Grail of quick, cheap, and easy to do. The clippings were free and the cost of the wreath frame and bow (dollar store!) were nominal.” And you don’t have to limit yourself to boxwoods. Mari suggests checking out the foliage in your yard and getting creative!

Burlap Owl Swag Wreath

When Gail from Purple Hues and Me saw a swag wreath with a small handcrafted owl in perched in the middle, she couldn’t help but wonder why the adorable owl wasn’t larger and more emphasized than the twigs.  Sounds like the perfect excuse for a DIY! Gail replicated the swag, making her owl large and in charge… and from a soap bottle no less! I am blown away by all the detail Gail put into her owl including the twine eyes and pinecone scale wings.

Scalloped Felt Wreath

I simply adored the simplicity of a scalloped felt wreath from Land of Nod and knew it could be created for a fraction of the price since felt is such an inexpensive fabric. At Infarrantly Creative I walk you through the simple steps I took to die cut the felt and attach it to my foam wreath. The neutral colors make this a great wreath for any décor and season, but the pinecone-esque look makes it perfect for fall!
