Fork and Spoon Kitchen Wall Art

Anita from Inspired Passions loves all things Pottery Barn and says she would move into the store if possible! She loved their fork and spoon canvases, but sadly they were out of budget and too big for her tiny kitchen. Anita created a more appropriately sized (and priced!) version with a canvas, carbon paper, and a black pastel. Anita says, “I had a lot of fun doing this project, and it looks really cute in the kitchen!”

Geometric Pieced Wood Wall Art

For only “$15 and an afternoon of work,” Ashley from Shanty 2 Chic created a stunning piece of wooden art for her wall. I love how this pallet style art combines modern and rustic with the geometric design, natural wood grain, and distressed edges. Talk about a great scrap buster project if you’ve got some extra plywood and boards in your garage.

Upholstered Headboard with Monogram for a Girl’s Room

With three daughters, Jessica from Polkadot Poplars spends lots of time thinking about how to decorate their rooms. For one of her girl’s bedrooms, she worked with her husband to make an upholstered headboard with monogram that’s fit for a princess. It definitely creates a focal point in the room just like Jessica hoped!

Twenty Buck Outdoor Sawhorse Bench

Last month I shared the gorgeous new outdoor dining table that Whitney from Shanty 2 Chic built for only $85 using plans from Ana White. Whitney again teamed up with Ana to build benches with a similar sawhorse style for only $20. Yep, you heard right… $20!!! That’s only $125 total for a solid wood outdoor dining set that looks like it came straight out of a catalog. The Shanty Sisters have done it again!

Best of PB #10: Cubby Storage Organizer (and Christmas Advent)

Michelle from Chalkboard Blue built this cubby system inspired by a hotel front desk organizer that is perfect for storage and display. The original inspiration came from a cubby organizer from Pottery Barn, but Michelle put her own spin on the design. This is so cute for the holidays. I love how Michelle used the cubbies as an advent this past Christmas!
