Burlap Christmas Tree

Yesterday I shared a couple of ideas for creating your own tabletop Christmas trees. Considering the popularity of burlap, I can’t leave these little trees from Ask Anna out of the mix! Anna thread strips of burlap with thin wire and glued them to a center dowel. Fluff them to the desired shape, and you’ve got a fun, natural fiber tree.

Paper Christmas Tree

“Oh Christmas tree. Oh Christmas tree. How lovely are your branches pages.” Pages? That’s right! This Christmas tree from Dana at Wonder Forest is made from repurposed music book pages. Dana cut paper squares a plenty and then stacked them up to make this pretty paper tree. If you can operate scissors or a paper cutter, then you’re fully equipped to make your own!

Felt Christmas Trees

Today’s all about Christmas trees here at KOD! I’ve got a couple of projects to showcase that show there are more options out there than just the traditional evergreen boughs. Gail from Purple Hues and Me created this trio of red trees by cutting felt leaves and adhering them to cone forms. What a simple way to make a statement on a tabletop or mantel!

Fork and Spoon Paper Towel Holder

Diane from In My Own Style was eyeing a fork and spoon design paper towel holder from Pottery Barn as a Christmas gift for her daughter. However, over $50 for a paper towel holder was more than Diane was willing to dish out. Especially when she could rummage through the kitchen for a couple of old wooden utensils and make her own awesome rendition!
