Marquee Letters

Being a girl that loves all things vintage and retro, Morena of Morena’s Corner needed to light up her life with some marquee letters. Morena shares at Crafts Unleashed how she made her letters without using cords and outlets so they are portable and can be moved around without any hassle. Morena suggests trying them out as fun party or wall décor. How cool would they be in a Hollywood themed bedroom or family theatre room?

Dog Silhouette Artwork

If you’ve got a furry, four-legged friend that has stolen your heart, you are going to love these dog silhouettes made by Kacie of Kacie’s Kreations. Kacie created her custom artwork with silhouettes that were cut from photos and then traced and painted onto drop cloth fabric. I can also see these being adorable in a small frame on a table or bookshelf.

Stenciled Ampersand Pillow

It’s no secret that I have had a slight obsession with making my own pillows. I have also enjoyed the flexibility and savings of creating with stencils, so in my book you can’t really go wrong with a stenciled pillow {wink}! Jessica from Mom 4 Real shows how easy it is to make your own custom pillow using an easy peasy freezer paper technique.

Printer’s Style Bar

Slowly but surely I have tackled a couple of of build-from-scratch projects to increase my woodworking skills and confidence. It’s when I stumble upon projects like this bar from Jen at House of Wood that I am really wishing I could make the jump to expert builder over night. Jen worked with Ana White for her printer’s style bar that includes shelving, a hanging stemware rack, and built-in wine grid behind those beautiful faux drawer fronts. All I can say is that I am in awe of Jen’s skills!
