Colorful Pom-Pom Magnets and Pushpins

After making a bunch of pom-poms for a photo shoot, Meredith from One Sheepish Girl certainly couldn’t let the colorful beauties go to waste sitting in plastic bags. She came up with a simple DIY to put them to use by hot gluing magnets and pushpins to the backs of the smaller poms. Meredith says she loves the color and texture they add to her inspiration board.

Triple Pedestal Farmhouse Dining Table

With plans from Ana White in hand, Jaime from That’s My Letter built this gorgeous and enormous triple pedestal dining table for a friend’s cottage. As Jaime points out, the table design features several beautiful details including an inset tabletop edge, curved arches on the pedestals, and a long stretcher support across the middle. Pretty much it’s the Miss America of dining tables {Giggle}!

Make Your Own Faux Zinc Initial

Christine from First Home… Love Life had long loved Anthropologie’s oversized zinc letters and kept having to talk herself out of ordering one. Deep down, Christine knew she could recreate it herself and finally got the push she needed from a fellow blogger to make it happen. Out came the tin foil, Mod Podge, and paint as Christine gave a cardboard craft store letter a faux metal makeover. Christine says, “I finally have my ‘zinc’ initial and didn’t have pay a small fortune for it. That make’s me one happy lady! YAY!”

DIY Dresser with Eclectic Stained Finish

I had so much fun seeing the Shanty Sisters last week at Haven, and, let me tell you, these girls have it all! They are as sweet as can be, fun, gorgeous, and crazy talented. Just check out this dresser that Ashley from Shanty 2 Chic built for her BFF’s baby nursery following plans from Ana White. This is a dresser that will definitely grow with the little fellow until he’s a teenager. He could even tote it off to college with him, and it would still be cool!

Knot Your Ordinary Duvet Cover

This morning I featured a DIY pintuck duvet cover, and tonight I am back with another sheet-to-duvet cover transformation that’s perfect for adding texture to your bed. Whitney from A Mommy’s Life with a Touch of Yellow was inspired by a quilt from Anthropologie as well as a drool-worthy knock-off by KoJo Designs to finally make her dream bedding a reality. Whitney made a few changes, including creating a duvet cover instead of a quilt to make washing a cinch. Even after several washings, Whitney says her sewing is holding strong!
