Dresser with Numbered Drawers

After seeing the popular Ordinal Dresser from Anthropologie, Danielle from My EnRoute Life couldn’t stop thinking about the “cute little numbered drawers.” She was inspired by another amazing dresser transformation to turn an unfinished IKEA dresser into her own numbered masterpiece. There’s just something about that simple stenciling that adds so much character to an ordinary dresser!

Painted Garden Stool

If  you ever shop at Ballard you have undoubtedly seen their ceramic garden stools that make lovely little side tables. On a thrifting expedition with the girls, Myra from My Blessed Life scored a pair of oriental garden seats for only $14 – for the pair! She gave them a sleek, crisp look with some white spray paint and had herself the spitting image of Ballard’s garden seat. Seriously, can you get over the fact that they have EXACTLY the same pierced detail? Craaazy!

Seagrass Lampshade

What do you get when you combine a Wal-mart lampshade with a woven placemat? A Ballard look-a-like seagrass shade a la Tammy from A Walk in the Countryside! Tammy pulled off the transformation by first unraveling the placemat and then hot gluing it around the shade for some instant beautification and texture. I love this simple update for an old or plain lampshade!

Balustrade Console Table

After creating an eye-catching gallery wall with black and white photos, Nikki from That Was A What?! still felt the space needed a little something. Nikki settled on lamps to do the trick, which meant she would also need a console table for the lamps to sit on. Smitten with a pricey salvaged wood console from Restoration Hardware, Nikki sought out some reclaimed materials of her own. Can you tell what Nikki repurposed for her That Was A What?! rendition of RH’s table?

Reclaimed Wood Bench

As a part of her mudroom remodel, Kristen from Lipstick and Sawdust built a small bench where her kids could sit and put their shoes on. Being the resourceful gal that she is, Kristen used some old picnic table boards she found in a dumpster for the build. I love Kristen’s criss-cross design and the fact that she built this bench for FREE by using the reclaimed wood! You go, Girl!
