Today’s all about Christmas trees here at KOD! I’ve got a couple of projects to showcase that show there are more options out there than just the traditional evergreen boughs. Gail from Purple Hues and Me created this trio of red trees by cutting felt leaves and adhering them to cone forms. What a simple way to make a statement on a tabletop or mantel!

However, over $50 for a paper towel holder was more than Diane was willing to dish out. Especially when she could rummage through the kitchen for a couple of old wooden utensils and make her own awesome rendition!

While their current line of wall calendars are great, Jennifer wanted something a little bigger and created her own printable that was just the right size. She then placed it into a frame with glass for a DIY marker board. She offers the printable for free so you can make your own calendar and get a hold of that crazy Christmas schedule!
When West Elm sold out of felt mistletoe before November even ended, Aimee from It’s Overflowing gathered a few basic crafting supplies to recreate the holiday plant. Floral wire gave life to yarn and felt and made it super easy for Aimee to shape her mistletoe. These are adorable to hang on gifts or in hallways for extra smooches!
This holiday pillow from Melissa at 320 Sycamore ticks all the boxes – crazy cheap, amazingly easy, very versatile, and oh so cute! Melissa simply glued some twine with mini stockings to a ready-made pillow. But wait there’s more {wink}… Melissa used the reverse side of a snowflake pillow, so all she has to do is flip it over after the holidays for instant winter décor. That Melissa is one smart cookie!
