Linda from It All Started With Paint liked the idea of a topiary in her new living room design but says she can’t be trusted with living plant life. Instead of risking a poor, innocent plant, Linda had the idea of making her own faux topiary modeled after the Ballard and Pottery Barn designs. With the help of some handy dandy moss balls from the craft store, the project ended up being way simpler than Linda had even imagined!

Ahna from Easier Than I Thought was inspired to make her chandelier shades more festive for Halloween by covering them with paper jack-o-lanterns. Her daughter loves seeing the friendly, glowing faces! Ahna suggests getting your kids in on the action of designing cats, witches, or jack-o-lanterns with different expressions.

Cheryl used magnetic jewelry clips so her ornaments just stick right onto the chandelier. She created both a crystal set and one with cheery pumpkins for Halloween. However, at $55-$59 a piece, Erin from Elizabeth Joan Designs says you might as well just keep the food in the bag or make your own stylish pet food bin. Of course, crafty sister Erin chose the latter of the two! She hit up the thrift store for a popcorn tin and updated it with some horizontal painted stripes. The canister even has Erin’s Golden Retriever’s seal of approval, so you know it must be pretty awesome {Wink}!
Desperately needing an entertainment center with more storage, and more specifically hidden storage, Bee from Windgate Lane had to figure out a cost-effective solution. Once again, Ikea didn’t disappoint with their BORGSJÖ cabinet and shelf unit. Bee’s favorite part was sprucing it up butcher block, which provides a gorgeous accent to the crisp white shelves. Bee loves how the unit adds storage without taking up too much space in her family room.
