Paper Cutout DIY Wall Art

Rachel of The Crafted Life studied art history in college and has always been inspired by Henri Matisse’s use of bold colors and shapes.

She decided to imitate his paper cut outs to create artwork for her new home.

This project truly is as simple as cutting shapes out of construction paper and then gluing them onto another piece of construction paper.

Rachel says, “If you’re looking to make new art for your home, but don’t have a ton of time or money to invest, then this project is absolutely for you.”

DIY Wall Art ~ Make your own artwork similar to that of Matisse by cutting shapes out of construction paper and then gluing them into another sheet of construction. It's simple enough anyone can do it!

Rachel was inspired by Henri Matisse’s cut paper collages.
