If you read one of my other blogs, Infarrantly Creative, you know I have a deep affinity for stencils.  I love how you can customize your own fabric, furniture piece, walls, glass, and so much more using a stencil.  Well today the good people at Cutting Edge Stencils want me to show you what can be done with a stencil and offer one of you a chance to win a $50 gift certificate.

Morena over at Morena’s Corner went a little wild with her Christmas décor this year by creating a couple of fun animal print ornaments for her tree. Morena stenciled the safari design onto a glass ornament using glass paints to create this unique ornament. Morena says, “No elves, snow, or bright colors on this ornament.  Just elegantly painted glass in a pattern that’s very trendy right now.”

If you like ornaments that are a bit quirky and deviate from the norm, then this octopus ornament by Emily at Lemon Yellow Journal is right up your alley. Here’s what she has to say: “I saw this little guy on the Terrain website, and thought it was so cute and totally doable!  I used a small sized Christmas bauble, some newsprint, and some craft glue and went to town! I finished it off with some paint for the eyes, and now he’s happily perched on my tree.”

Christa from Brown Sugar Toast found a way to enjoy a little winter snowfall despite the mild temperatures outside. She brought the snow inside by hanging these cute little snowflakes in her daughter’s bedroom. Christa was fortunate to find a pack of six snowflakes for only a dollar, and some white thread turned them into wintery mobiles.
