Painted Floral Coasters

Bonnie from Uncommon Designs decided to step out of the box and try her hand at something new… painting.  Amazingly, Bonnie painted these coasters while she was cooking dinner. Bonnie says she doesn’t have a gift for drawing and actually surprised herself with how the coasters came out. The vibrant colors and patterns are so pretty!

Stool Upholstered with Rug

Kim from Made in a Day scored quite the deal when she got an old stool for only $1.99. It might not have been much to look at, but Kim took care of that! She recovered the seat with a kitchen rug from Wal-mart to mimic the look of hand-woven, recycled fabric stools she had seen at both Pier 1 and Target. I love it when a rescue and knock-off come together!

Cookout Food Labels

Summer is just around the corner, which means it’s time for backyard BBQs, bonfires, and pool parties. Jaime from That’s My Letter shares an idea for creating the perfect party table with her mini croquet mallet food labels. I mean how cute are these? Aside from just looking adorable, these food labels clearly mark all the grub so guests know what’s being served. They’re also versatile enough to be used as place cards or garden markers if you remove the base.

Tissue Paper Flowers

This time of year I simply can’t get enough flowers. However, as much I love the look and scent of fresh flowers, I can’t justify spending lots of money on something that will end up in the garbage in a few days. DeDe from Designed Décor offers a budget-friendly solution with her tissue paper cherry blossoms. DeDe created her blooms from tissue paper and then hot glued them onto branches. It is amazing how real they look!
