I know we all love a quick and simple knock-off that costs practically nothing, and this project from The Knock-Off Crafter is just that! The crafty lady behind this site knew she could easily make her own chalkboard clips, especially when she already had chalkboard paint on hand. All it took was some dollar store clothespins and little wooden rectangles from the craft store to create these cute little clips that make labeling a breeze.

With a generously-sized closet and no need for a dresser, Hillary from The Friendly Home had plenty of space for furniture in her daughter’s bedroom. She already had a set of bookcases. Unfortunately, they happened to be “cheap, ugly, and “not very sturdy” bookcases that Hillary was more than eager to replace. Hillary loves how the cube design keeps book standing up and allows for hidden storage so everything looks neat and tidy.

On a shopping trip at the local thrift store, Debbie from One Day at a Time came across a vase with a really cool shape. The color, however, wasn’t quite so cool. Debbie combined elements from other vases she liked to give her thrift store find a rich metallic makeover that’s perfect for fall. Debbie shares how she used spray paint to create the textured finish on her originally smooth vase.
