Kathy from The Salvaged Boutique rescued a metal cart from the garbage pile at work. The fact that it was metal made it a true score, despite its n-a-s-t-y condition. We are talking seriously FILTHY and rusty! However, Kathy performed a miraculous transformation on the cart, taking it from landfill material to a vision in gold and white!

Brittany from Confessions of a Secret Crafter gave a serving set the Midas touch with liquid gilding. I adore the simple elegance of the gold-plated handle and would love to pull this set out for a night of entertaining. Brittany says, “Who doesn’t need a little sparkle and shine in their life? I know I do!”

Erin from Elizabeth Joan Designs had inherited an old bench from her parents with dreams of giving it a grand makeover. Enter a new baby and cross-country move, and the bench was quickly forgotten. When Erin later found herself in need of additional seating for her daughter’s birthday, she figured it was time to give the bench the update it so desperately needed – the lazy EASY way!

Jen from Girl in the Garage is excited to finally have some wall art hanging in her bedroom. She purchased a couple of original art pieces while visiting Paris last fall and then saw a wire Bonjour sculpture from Anthropologie that would fit beautifully with them. Jen knew she could beat the $48 price tag and made her own version for just $4 using some wire from the craft store. Jen says her wire wall art was so simple to make, and I love how it can easily be customized to any name, word, or phrase!

After seeing the gorgeous upholstered bed Kelly from View Along the Way made, Carissa of Carissa Miss knew it was just what she wanted for her daughter’s bedroom. Carissa modified Kelly’s dimensions to fit a twin-sized bed and got to work building, upholstering, and adding nailhead trim. I love the shape of the headboard for a little girl’s room – it reminds me of a princess’ throne!
