After receiving an order from Anthropologie, Diane was smitten with the stylin’ stitched envelope containing her receipt and decided to make her own brighter, more colorful envelopes. Diane even shares her templates to make this project a breeze!

Mother’s Day is just two weeks away! For those of us who love a DIY, that means it’s time to get crafty and make Momma or Granny (or any other lovely lady you’d like to honor) a gift she is going to love. Bethany from Dwellings by DeVore decided to jump on the bandwagon and try her hand at creating graphic artwork a la West Elm. Bethany says she literally just did a couple of brush strokes across a piece of poster board and then popped her new abstract art into a frame once it was dry. She says, “I think it took me about 5 minutes to complete. You can’t beat that for quick and easy.”

While browsing Crate & Barrel, Brittany from Just B Crafty noticed that many of the items had a handmade feel to them, like some knitted pillows that were selling for $50. Brittany says, “Good thing I have a perfectly good set of knitting needles, piles of yarn at home, and a couple free evenings…” Good thing indeed because Brittany was able to make this pretty knitted pillow for only $4 for the insert!

Becki and Chris of The Uncommon Common Law were this year’s winner of Creating with the Stars at East Coast Creative. And looking at this stunning bench they made, it’s not too hard to see why! The couple recreated the infamous Nelson Bench for only $136, and it’s a dead ringer for the original. I simply love the look of the natural maple and ebony legs and am amazed by Becki and Chris’ workmanship. Gorgeous!
