Jess from Make & Do Crew has a great project that even a novice crocheter could undertake: leather and crochet coasters! Leather coasters make great gifts for fathers, grandfathers, husbands, and uncles, but you don’t need to shell out a pretty penny for a custom set. This project uses scrap leather, which you can buy in a bag from the craft supply store, or you can use leather from a thrift store jacket. Jess also used twine from the dollar store and a small piece of felt to finish her coasters.
These are Jess’s finished coasters:
They are similar in style to this set of coasters, retailing for $98
