This past fall, Shara of Chasing a Dream entered the One Board Challenge that was hosted by Jen from House of Wood.
Shara had to come up with a project to make from a single 1x8x8 board and knew she wanted it to be useful, creative, and unique.
She found a twisted wood table as inspiration and was able to replicate it for about $6.
Shara says, “I LOVE this little table and it is totally worth a few bucks and a couple hours in the shop!”
Shara was inspired by the Foreside Twisted Wood Table that’s currently available through Amazon.
Go to Chasing a Dream for the tutorial.

Its not too hard to do it without a plan ...
Remember the old, greek mathematician Pythagoras - or look him up on Google now:
As you know the length of the base plate, the height of the table, you can calculate the length of the diagonal board connecting both.
Once you have all three measurements, you can calculate the angles.
Find an online calculator for triangles to get the math done comfortably - there are many out there for students or handymen.
Good luck!
PS: Yes, to crack this, you will need 30 minutes up to one hour. But once you have accomplished the task, you are free to choose any size and format you wish ...

Good Morning.......... I originally seen this on Pinterest however it was not available through Amazon :( .......... Is it possible to get a pattern for this twisted plant stand. We tried making it ourselves however we just are not good at angles and never could get it to fit together properly. Please let me know if I can purchase the pattern for this stand.
Thank you Mary
