The minute Shannon from High Wire Living laid eyes on Ethan Allen’s American flag “Foundation,” she was in love. Unfortunately, $999.00 was more than she could afford. However, she did have an old window sitting in the corner of her bedroom begging for some love. With some vintage-look scrapbook paper and acrylic paint, Shannon was able to transform the window into a similar look. The cost? $40.00, which includes the cost of the window and the materials to make it!

Sure, the wheel would have been pretty inexpensive with a coupon, but where’s the fun in that? Plus, Mable already had most of the supplies on hand to make her own. Mabel’s wheel looks so much like her inspiration that I honestly did a double take to figure out which was which!

Armed with a 50-foot bag of manilla rope and a hot glue gun, Gina and her hubs spent only an hour transforming the once mediocre mirror into a trendy piece that’s perfect for summer.
